RK R75 Wired Keyboard Recovery Toolkit

Background

A common issue with firmware flashing on the Royal Kludge RK R75 keyboard is corrupted flash memory leading to an unresponsive device (blackout / disconnected USB HID).

Recovery Method

• Hardware Debugging: Connects an ST-Link v2 programmer to the onboard SWD test pads (SWDIO, SWCLK, GND, 3V3).
• OpenOCD Automation: Python script interfacing with OpenOCD to unlock write protection on the microcontroller.
• Firmware Restoration: Erases corrupted flash memory sectors and writes clean factory firmware images.
